The reason that the article, “The Up- and Down-Regulation of Amusement: Experiential,

Behavioral, and Autonomic Consequences” was cited in the article “Autonomic Mechanisms of

emotional reactivity and regulation” is because they both involved the same procedure. The

first article looked at amusement in subjects. The amusement was elicited through the use of

videos. The second study also looks at the use of videos of to elicit emotion. Part of the study

also tries to understand the mechanisms of amusement. However, this study looks at other

emotions, such as fear as well.
