1) A group of professors in College Park , university of Maryland posted answer keys loaded with false responses, then compared the students’ answer with the false key .

Research Issues 1) Although there had been a constant ethical behaviour and integrity, dishonesty would remain to become an issue in the collegiate setting

2) The reason why students tend to cheat is to pass a course or to graduate but only a few students indicated that they had engaged in a particular form of cheating three or more times

3) This is a significant finding as the students who admitted cheating in the high school continue to do so in college

4) These students will eventually be entrusted with life sustaining decisions in their careers where honesty will be expected, particularly if they become doctors or police officers

Moral Issues

1) They said they knew right from wrong and intended to follow a strict code of values after they gained power and authority.

2) Acknowledged lying is wrong but allowed it for self importance.

3) Professor Gardner said that a better explanation of the matter is their teachers and mentors and the rest of the society never helped them construct and internalize a moral compass in the first place.

Research paper

The researchers led by Howard Gardner, asked probing questions about their subjects’ goals and aspirations, their strategies for overcoming obstacles and their mentors and values.
