refrigerator and (b) the rate of heat transfer to the kitchen air.

3. A heat pump used to heat a house runs about one-third of the time. The house is
losing heat t an average rate of 22,000 kJ/h. If the COP of the heat pump is 3.5,
determine the power of the heat pump draws when running.
