Why have I chosen this genre?

Thriller- Because it creates suspense, tension and excitement. It stimulates the viewers mood such as uncertainty, anxiety, suspense, excitement and terror.

Conventions of thriller:Death- a killing of a much loved or a important character.Tragedy- the invoking of emotional pain of main character(s) or audience. Suspense- where audience is gripped to the film at important information is withheld until the end. Intensity- fierce emotions invoked that compels audience to simplify with main character. Depressing- a miserable or forlorn emotion invoked through main character and can be simplified with audience.

These films inspired me because I like the like feeling of getting scared. Most of the movie storylines intrigue me.

Such films can bring about a giddy sense of fear and adrenaline that appeals to a wide range of target audience.

• My chosen theme for my opening sequences would be REVENGE.

What happens in the movie/opening sequence

• What will happen in the whole film?

• Emma and Jessica were best friends, nothing could tear them apart. Until Jessica became Amy’s (bully) new victim.

• No one saw the car coming, but all three life's change because of it.

• Jessica’s dead.• Emma’s suffering.• And Amy will suffer.

What will happen in the opening sequence? • A car comes• Jessica hand on the ground• A rose on the grave• Jessica starts following the bully

Who are the character and what do they represent

She’s friendly, warm and protective. Always looks out for her friends.

Friendly, easy going and bottles up all of her emotion.

A mean and cruel person. Doesn’tCare about anyone else beside herself.

Costume: Very simple. Winter clothing. Jeans, woolly top, scarf, hat, gloves and converse.Then changes to dark colours when seeking revenge.

Costume: Wears bright colours. Ripped light blue Jeans, sparkle top and a simple cardigan with boots. Also wears a lot of make-up.

Costume: Wears dark colours.Likes to wear black a lot since she doesn’t like to be notice by the bully.

Body language: Very relaxedBody language: Very Stiff.

Body language: A know it all. Walks like a model.

Props: Car, knife and a embarrassing photo.

This represents her fake and changeable persona and only cares for her materialistic things.

This reflects a troubled mind and can only expresses herself through her appearance.

A very stereotypical content school girl and then her life changes around through her emotions and problems.

How are you going to create enigma in your opening sequence?

The first scene you’ll just see a extreme close up of a hand laying on a pavement with traces of blood pooling down which makes the audience question who owns the hand? What happened? And what is there to come?

Target Audience- For teens 16-19 (mostly girls) since its based on best friends and there loving friendship they had together.
