County regulations dictate that for gymnastic and movement lessons in

the school hall children must be barefoot, even if they have cuts, blisters or a verruca. If these are split and or painful they could be covered with a sticking plaster. For invasion games with apparatus (e.g. hockey) a pair of lightweight plimsolls (NOT TRAINERS) should be worn. Trainers or a separate pair of plimsolls should be worn for outdoor games. Therefore, either two pairs of plimsolls or one pair of plimsolls and one pair of trainers are needed.

Part of the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda. Children are taught about democracy and how the system

works. They are also encouraged to take part in the decision

making process within school. Each class elects a class councillor. School Council elections will be held on 30.10.14. Council gives the children a voice and a forum to enter into

discussions about things that matter to them. e.g Installing the ‘Buddy Bench’ on the playground. OFSTED will write to the School Council when they visit

Hart Plain. They meet with the members to discuss positive aspects and targets for the school.
