Association of Primary Education Teachers emerged in 1999 as an initiative of teachers participating in workshops organized in Katowice by foundation„ Elementarz ”.

The time spent together started by watching "Dead Poets Society" led to the idea of creating a „Fresh-spirit Teachers Society "

SNEP-founding meeting was held in Łutowiec- the smallest school in Europe.

This year, the school run by the Elementarz Foundation teaches four

children

The mission of SNEP is to integrate teachers of primary schools and kindergardens in order to cooperate for the benefit of Small Child's development

Our main goals are:

* Activities for the benefit Small Child's Educations* Defending the professional interests of teachers* Participation in the initiation and coordination

research in the field of primary education* Supporting pedagogical innovations* Spreading knowledge and raising professional qualifications of teachers

SNEP reunions are held twice a year.Spring one is usually outside our headquarters ..

One of the closest partner is „Elementarz” Foundation Both institutions work closely together. The field of cooperation is very broad. It concerns mainly Small Schools and Kindergardens. Our united projects co-financed by the ESF are:

WIEŚ PRZYJAZNA DZIECIOM (VILLAGE AS A FRIENDLY PLACE FOR CHILDREN)

The result of this collaboration is founding over a hundred Small Alternative Rural Kindergardens across Poland, teaching on the basis of the programme: „Mały Elementariusz”
