The Planet Lines & Their Meaning Sun

When you live under a Sun line, you can expect good fortune as long as you “put yourself out there” in the world. The Sun energy relates to career, opportunity, and being center stage. It’s an ideal place for career building, especially in fields where you must take a leadership or central role.

If your dream job is to be a star, a leader, a figurehead, or holding any kind of public position (politics, best-selling author, CEO), building a career under a Sun line is ideal. If, on the other hand, you prefer working quietly in the background, with no spotlights or attention, this is not your best choice, because you will likely receive unwanted attention here.

MOON

Moon locations bode well for raising a family, nurturing a garden, emotional healing work or other care-giving and receiving roles. Whether that’s going to medical school or simply taking a self-care vacation is up to you, but the Moon is the mother-like energy that connects you with your emotions and sense of emotional security.

One thing to be aware of here is that if your early childhood included a lot of emotional trauma or wounding, living or vacationing under a Moon line may be too intense. In this case, it would be best suited for a specific, emotion-mental healing retreat of some kind, including detox or rehab.




MERCURY

Want to activate your mental powers? Learn a new skill? Take up an intensive course of study? Actively mend your health? Then living under or visiting a Mercury line is where you want to be!

Mercury activates concentration, organization, mental powers and a focus on physical health. The sporting types will also enjoy an active lifestyle or holiday under a Mercury line, since its a great place to rev up the adrenalin!

The risk with too much Mercury is that it can also activate nervous energies and weight loss. So if you already tend toward a nervous personality, or have trouble gaining weight, Mercury is not a good place for you.

VENUS

As we all know, the planet Venus r e p r e s e n t s l o v e , b e a u t y a n d relationships. What you may not know is that Venus also represents the attraction of wealth. That’s right, our heavenly body of love and beauty needs money to support her high-taste habits! This is why living under a Venus line is great for accruing wealth slowly over time.

Venus is also a great place for the “Earth Mother” types whose dream is to surround herself with a big, loving family, and a rambling home filled with plants and beautiful things.

The risk of spending too much time under a Venus line is laziness and low energy. All that lounging around with delicious food and beautiful things can turn into sloth when you’re not paying attention under Venus.

This is why a Venus line is not ideal for you if you are challenged by easy weight gain or have trouble motivating yourself to take action on dreams and ideas. But for vacations, a Venus line is ideal for just about anyone!




MARS

The planet Mars is traditionally seen as a war-oriented brute. But the Mars energy is much more than that! Mars is the sportsman with a competitive by honorable attitude. Living under or visiting a Mars line will bring out the good natured competitor in you if you are emotionally mature.

As with Mercury, if you are seeking an “Active adventure” holiday, not much beats a bungy jump under a Mars line!

If you have a lot of pain around “losing” or if your childhood was dominated by male abuse however, you’ll want to avoid Mars lines.

JUPITER

“Hey Big Spender ...” BIG is the operative word when it comes to being under a Jupiter line. This makes Jupiter lines both ideal and dangerous! Why? Because unless you have great wealth to be a big spender, or great discipline with any kind of over- indulgence (spending, eating, sex ...) Jupiter lines are a great place to grow fat and lose your money.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be that extreme! The point is that Jupiter expands whatever it touches. This means when you are under a Jupiter line, you can expand good things, like your bank account. Or not so good things, like your belt size or your credit card debt.

SATURN

W h e re J u p i t e r ex p a n d s S a t u r n contracts. Thus, living under or visiting a Saturn line can feel constrictive. Saturn is not an ideal “fun vacation” location. But it is great if you want to get away from it all to write that book, build a new health regime or invest in real estate for long-term gain.

In fact, the bright side of “Mr. Discipline” (Saturn), is that when you play by his rules (hard work, step-by-step, be patient), you can accrue massive wealth slowly, over a long period of time.




URANUS

Have you ever had one of those moments where it’s like a light bulb suddenly goes on in your head? You know, when you get that “Aha!” or insight, that epiphany which brings greater understanding?

If you know that feeling, then you know something about what it’s like under a Uranus line. Uranus areas are great for inspired action or communication, novel approaches to challenges, and new ways of doing things.

Uranus areas are not so great if you are seeking to create stability in your life, invest in real estate or build slow and steady wealth.

NEPTUNE

The mist is so thick it feels like you are under a spell ... Neptune lines are, well, risky for long-term living. PLUTO

As archetypal “Lord of the Underworld” and general instigator of harsh lessons, Pluto has a bad reputation. And while the lessons you can learn dancing with Pluto energies are profoundly growth-inducing, unless y o u l i k e t h e “Shock and Awe” m e t h o d o f personal growth, it’s best to avoid long stays under Pluto lines.

Dawn’s Real-Life Example of Career Success Half A World Away from Her Sun Line You may not know this, but before my current career, I was a professional athlete, coach, and martial artist. I had a successful business teaching and competing in the National Sport of Thailand–Muaythai Boxing. Now when you look at my astro-location profile, you’ll see that the Thai capital of Bangkok sits almost exactly at the crosshairs of my Sun ascending and Sun Midheaven lines. In other words, the sun was rising in Bangkok at the moment of my birth, and it was at the midheaven in another part of the world, but at the exact same latitude of Bangkok.

Thus, more than a decade before I actually built a second successful career as a travel writer in Bangkok, I had already built one half a world away in the American Southwest that was directly connected with the most career-supporting location on Earth for me!




Making Lemonade Under A Pluto Line

Another example of working with an astro-location planetary energy comes from a client of mine. We’ll call her “Patty” (not her real name). Patty was born and raised under a Pluto line. For most, this is definitely not an ideal line to live under (see Pluto description above). But in Patty’s case, she had a relatively happy childhood, with little in the way of trauma or stress.
