Children ages 4 and up will love this chance to go wild on their birthdays!

Parties include the use of our room for three hours, and a live animal show with a naturalist, featuring your choice of turtles, snakes or frogs. We also provide trail maps, scavenger hunts, and more ideas for naturally fun activities.

Birthday Party Information

Children turning 4 years and older will enjoy our birthday programs. Birthday parties are

limited to 15 children, including the birthday child. We recommend guests wear clothes and

shoes for outdoor play.

Birthday parties are on Saturday afternoons. You have use of the room from 1:30 to 4:30pm;

this includes 30 minutes each for setup and cleanup. Invite guests to a 2 hour party between

2:00-4:00pm which includes a 30 minute live animal presentation led by a naturalist.

You may choose between three themes for the nature program: Snakes, Turtles, or Frogs.

For an additional $50 the hosting naturalist can provide a 30 minute guided nature hike within

your 3 hour rental.

Please call or email us to see if your requested date is available. We can pencil you in, but your

party is NOT reserved until you receive an email confirming that we have received your

check and a completed reservation form. The hosting naturalist will contact you the week be-

fore the party to answer any questions you may have.

The full payment of $200 (or $250) must be received no later than 10 days before your party.

Please make your check payable to “Arlington County Treasurer”. There is a $50 cancellation

fee; refunds take two weeks to process.

Please leave the room as you found it. The naturalist is not re-

sponsible for set up (tables, chairs, decorations) or for clean up.

Brooms, dustpans, a vacuum and trash bags are available for clean-

up.

We do not provide any party supplies. Bring all items you will

need such as plates, cups, napkins, utensils, birthday candles,

matches, tablecloths, and decorations. Decorations are limited to

the room and can only be affixed to the walls with painter’s tape.

We do not have kitchen facilities available. Please bring your food in coolers or other contain-

ers. Catering and pizza deliveries are welcomed. No alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Your party may be delayed or cancelled if Arlington County Facilities have delayed open-

ings or closures. If we are unable to host your reserved party, you will have the option of can-

celling your party for a full refund or we will try to reschedule your party to an alternative

date.
