Laboratory Since 2016. It is established by Mr. R. Balasubramanian, Managing Director by God’s
Grace. It is the passion and desire in the area of Civil Testing Field that has enabled him to launch
the Laboratory. It is a reputed and renowned Laboratory in the field of Civil Engineering Testing
Centre for all Building Materials, Quality Assurance and Quality Consultancy works on Residential
& Commercial Buildings/Factory / Industrial / Infrastructures/Road Works.
One of the pioneers in setting up Bench mark in the area of Soil Testing for Foundation

RCTPL is a specialized testing center, offering Services in Soil Investigation, Earth Resistivity
Test, Plate Load Test, Onsite Soil Test Lab, Concrete Design Mix, Cement and Fly ash Test,

Description of Business
Managing-Cum-Technical Director Profile
BALASUBRAMANIAN B.E (Civil), Managing Cum Technical Director, Head- Quality Control &
Materials Testing Department, having 16 vast years of experience in the Quality Control and
Quality Assurance in Construction sector as well as Concrete and Soil Lab. He has been with
Building Technology Centre, Anna University Lab in Charge as well as administration. His well-
known expertise is in the area of Concrete Mix design with Chemical and Mineral Admixtures; He
had been involved in lot of research activities in the various Chemical companies such as FOSROC,
BASF, CeraChem and Mc Bauchemie during his research studies. He worked with M/s.Emas
Engineers and Contractors and M/s. Simplex Infrastructures Ltd as Senior Quality Control
Engineers for Mega Projects. He studied and worked under the guidance of Dr.A.R.Santhakumar,
Former Dean of Civil Engineering, Anna University and Emeritus Professor, IIT. He had a very good
experience in abroad at Afghanistan, U.S Army Base at Kabul. He worked with the cold weather
concrete, executed lot of design mixes. His Expertise’s are listed here:

Laboratory is well maintained and equipped with necessary apparatus to carry out all Testing of

Test/ NDT (Rebound Hammer, UPV, Concrete Core etc.). All equipments are calibrated according to
the IS Requirements. Our team is well trained to handle laboratory apparatus to provide consistent

Soil investigation done using standard
penetration test according to IS: 2131 (BIS
standards) to determine the safe bearing

We undertake Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for QA/QC, Onsite Laboratory (Soil
and Concrete) Testing for all projects. It will be operated by us to the specific requirements.
Plate Load Test is undertaken for Entire site to assess the SBC as well as settlement.
Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QC) Consultancy for Monitoring Site cum QC activities
day by day and testing of Building materials, assessing the site checking for Major
Infrastructures Projects /Commercial /Residential /Industrial /Road Works etc.
