Welcome!Welcome to the 2012 edition of the Atlantic Bonus Sale. We can now be opti-

mistic, again, about the beef business, the prices are stronger and the outlook is good.

There is a good demand for the pure breeds. This year’s offering has a good selection of show calves, bred heifers, cows in their prime and future herd sires.

This is an opportunity to purchase some of the Maritimes’ top Hereford genet-ics. Many past consignments have gone on to be winners in the show ring and pastures. We welcome the Angus and the Shorthorn breeds to the sale again this year.

Please join us for the sale on October 20.Thank you for your continued support.

It’s hard to part with a good one. The only reason we are offering her in the sale is we have two other Global yearlings. Her mother is a heavy milker with a great udder. She will pass it on to “Lucky One”. Lucky has been shown as a calf and yearling very successfully. You will like her. Bred to our new herd sire NBG 3W Vagabond 4T 2Y on April 24 . I was planning to keep this heifer. If she is anything like her maternal sister she will be one of your best producers. Dark and feminine. Bred to a Stamina son.

This heifer was held over due to her longing to travel. When girls leave home before they are old enough that is what happens, but she did get to travel in New Brunswick and Quebec last summer. I think Mike showed her a good time from what she told me. All Mike will say is I told you so. What an advantage to calve a three year old. Bred to a Stamina son. Her sire is the Heat son we purchased at the Royal.

An April heifer with Star America on her maternal side and Headliner on her paternal side. Great potential here. Dark and pretty. Her grandmothers on both sides are two of my favourites. Both great milkers. Bred to a Stamina son.

Here is a nice late March heifer calf. We bought her mother as a 2 year old in the River Valley sale a couple of years ago. She is a good milker and we think she did an all right job on this one. The heifer calf is clean fronted, darker colored and we think kinda stylish. She should have lots of milk behind her in her pedigree, and be one you can keep around for a while. She has been tied up and used to a halter, somebody could have alot of fun with this one for a 4H project next year. Or if your looking for future replacements for your cow herd I don’t think you will regret taking a second look at her.

Zelda is another heifer that was shown this year. She is our only Anchor daughter born this year. Lots of style and thickness here and out of another very productive cow. This calf has not had a lot of feed and only came into the barn in September. Don’t miss her on sale day.

Dina is a fancy made, very correct heifer calf. She and her two-year-old mother were shown this sum-mer. The Dina family is known for almost perfect shaped udders. She will make a great 4-H or Junior project for next year and will go on to make a very productive cow in the future.
