On February 8th our second and third grade students hosted a Character Assembly featuring the character pillar of caring.

The students were accompanied by Mrs. Wollick on ukulele and Mr. Hanson on

guitar.

Yearbook Sales Atlantis’ yearbook pre-sale will begin February 1st. Each yearbook will be $20.00 (cash or check payable to Atlantis Elementary). Envelopes will be going home with each student and are due back to school on or before February 28th. Yearbooks purchased after February 28 will be $25.00. Thank you.

Flu Prevention is in your hands. Here are a few prevention suggestions; Avoid close contact with sick people Cover nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing

or sneezing Wash your hands often with soap and water. If

soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer

Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth as germs spread this way; and

Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs like the flu.

In order to ensure good handwashing practices, wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, when soiled and/or look dirty, feel dirty, and/or after specific activities such as the following: Coughing, sneezing, blowing nose Using the restroom Participating in indoor/outdoor play activities Beginning of each day, when children come to the

classroom Before and after mealtimes/snacks, etc.; and End of the day before leaving for home
