Self Management

Activity

As each ATL is reviewed, do a short reflection on that ATL skill on the

handout provided. This will help you select the ATL skills that you want to

focus on through the process of completing your Personal Project

Self - Management Skills

Initiating one’s own learning through management of time,

tasks and deadlines

assignments in on time?▧How well do you manage your time to

complete assignments on time?▧Do you use your agenda to make smaller,

manageable deadlines for yourself?

Social Skills

Effectively and respectfully collaborating

Things to think about:▧How well do you ask for help when you need it?▧How effectively do you give and receive

meaningful feedback?▧Do you always take responsibility for your own

actions when working within a group?

Communication Skills

Exchanging thoughts, messages and information (written, spoken,

and visual forms) effectively through appropriate interaction

Things to think about:▧How well do you communicate with your

logically?

Research Skills

Finding, interpreting, and judging appropriate media to create ideas

and information to present in a variety of formats and platforms

Things to think about:▧When researching, do you use a variety of

resources?▧When researching how do you make

connections between a variety of sources?▧How do you make informed decisions based

on information collected?

Thinking Skills

Analyze issues and develop creative solutions within multiple

contexts

experiences to new ones?▧How do you revise your understanding from new

Selecting your ATL’s

Process Journal Entry

Analyze your self-evaluation and select three ATL’s that you will focus on throughout

this project

In your process journal (on managebac) respond to the following prompt:

Which of the ATL’s are you focusing on? For each, ATL skill, how do you currently assess yourself, and how will you show growth in that ATL skill throughout your

project?

Action Steps - Next Week

▧Continue to reflect on your ATL skills▧Begin to research information to help

you reach your goal!
