What is ATO? Alpha Tau Omega is one of

the Nation’s, and UofM’s, most historical fraternity

After having an illustrious 117 years at UofM, the charter was removed in 2005

Join the efforts to bring this fraternity back to campus, and help rebuild the prestige it once had!

3 percent of the U.S. is Greek, and of that 3 percent,

only 1 percent gets this kind of

opportunity

National Background ATO was founded by Otis Allan

Glazebrook, Erskine Mayo Ross and Alfred Marshall, at the Virginia Military Institute in 1865.

ATO was not established in imitation of or in opposition to any existing fraternity.

ATO annually ranks among the top ten national fraternities for number of chapters and total number of members. ATO has more than 250 active and inactive chapters with more than 200,000 members and more than 6,500 undergraduate members.

Otis Allan Glazebrook

"Alpha Tau Omega holds before the young men of the country an ideal and something greater than a mere intellectual ideal. Alpha Tau Omega stands for heart as well as head. It has given men a true ideal of life.“

-Otis Allan Glazebrook
