Read the following passage carefully:To improve your stamina and to stay physically fit, you require regular physicalexercise in addition to sufficient rest, recreation and a balanced diet. To stay fit, youneed not be an athlete or a sports person- all that you have to do is to ensure yourheart and lungs remain strong with the aerobic exercises. Walking is the easiest ofthese exercises whose primary goal is to improve cardia-vascular and respiratoryfunctions.

But mere walking is not enough. Your pace has got to be brisk. Because briskwalking, though a mild exercise is a good aerobic workout. It accelerates your pulserate. Other simple but effective aerobic exercises are cycling, swimming, skippingand climbing stairs. An obvious advantage of exercise is that it helps to control andlose body weight which it achieves by burning excess calories. Exercise is both apreventive and a curative medicine. Go ahead for it.
