As part of our ongoing commitment to training and delivery of effective medical care in sport, The Football Association would like to invite you to attend a practical and educational workshop to learn about Penthrox®, the rapidly-acting inhaler for pain relief.

The meeting will be an opportunity to hear from representatives of leading sports and medical bodies currently using Penthrox®, including Dr Mark Forrest, Consultant in Anaesthetics and Critical Care, Clinical Director of Urgent and Emergency Care, and Fellow in Sports and Exercise Medicine, and Mr John Hollingsworth, Consultant in Emergency Medicine, University Hospital Aintree and Consultant Emergency Physician / Team Doctor Everton Football Club.

The workshop will provide: • Examples of current use of Penthrox® and how it can improve the level of care we are able to deliver to our players

and athletes • Education around identifying trauma injuries and pain scenarios where Penthrox® can be appropriately administered • Practical training on how to administer Penthrox® (methoxyflurane 3mL) to your teams • Certification to deliver Penthrox® training directly to your wider medical team
