MAKER FUN FACTORY VBS What a fantastic response we’ve received to our upcoming VBS! FOC is hosting “Maker Fun Factory” VBS June 12 -16, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm each day! Due to the high number of registrations received, our participant registration is now closed. If you would like your child to be placed on a waitlist for this year’s VBS at FOC, please contact Vanessa Schweiger at [email protected].
We are still in GREAT need of VBS Volunteers! We currently have 80 kids without an assigned adult crew leader. In order to safely accommodate currently enrolled participants and not cancel participant enrollments we need YOUR help! Please consider partnering with a friend/spouse/co-worker/neighbor for the week and leading a crew! Sign up at www.foccs.net to volunteer. Thank you so much for helping make VBS this year a success!
Volunteer Training will be held this Sunday, June 4, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm in the Family Life Center. Lunch and childcare will be provided.
Participant t-shirt and CD distribution will take place Tuesday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 7, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Please enter on the WEST side of the building.
WEEKLY UPDATE FROM THE FOC CALL COMMITTEE The Nomination Window for Senior Pastor Candidates is open! The Call Committee will receive nominations from June 1-15. Nominations will no longer be accepted after this window closes. The nomination forms will be emailed to each member and can be found at www.foccs.net under Events. Hardcopies are also available on the counter outside the church office. Further instructions and District requirements are provided below:
1 Verify that the nominee is listed on The Lutheran Annual (http://locator.lcms.org/search.asp.) If his name is not listed, then he cannot be considered for this Call. 2 The Nomination Form must be filled out in its entirety, any
incomplete forms will need to be completed before being accepted.
3 Return all completed Forms to the FOC Call Committee ([email protected].)
Note: the District will only accept completed Forms from the Chairperson so please do not send the Forms to them directly.
The Call Committee also met on Wednesday, May 31, to develop the Pastoral Candidate Questionnaire. This questionnaire will be sent to each candidate to complete and will be a valuable tool in finding our new Senior Pastor. The next Call Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 7, to finalize the questionnaire, develop the evaluation criteria, and review any nomination forms that have been submitted.
