Links to action films and music

• Link to other action films such as Ill manors. This was shown in the review on the time lapse that compared it to independent British film Ill manors. We also used Ill manors as inspiration for part of our filming.

• This links to our song “End Credits” a song by plan B, who was a key member in the development of ill manors and an actor in “Harry Brown” another film that we used for inspiration for our film trailer.

• The shot at 0:11 seconds needs the water splashing sound removed.

Editing/ Camera work

• Camera shots/ angles were diverse and steady. They worked for the trailer. A couple of shots such as the shot at the end of the protagonists brother dead could be reshot to actually show the characters face.

• The fight scene around 0:27 seconds was a bit unrealistic and a bit slow compared to other action scenes we have. We could reshot this scene to make it look more realistic and in editing make the shots cut quicker, with it possibly from a couple more angles.

• Editing needs to be done to sort the corrupt files we had. (this is when the screen goes dark black)

Mise-en-scene

• The long running shot between 0:14 and 0:21 seconds was suggested to be filmed in a different location because the location seemed “too nice” to be having a burglary. Although the shot was liked it was suggested we film it in a rougher looking location such as the one used at 0:28 seconds.

Iconography

• Props such as “drugs” and the golf club were used effectively to help to enhance the audiences understanding that the trailer was an action film and fit in nicely into the trailer.

General

• “I would go and see the film, the trailer looks good”

• The only issue we had was that the trailer is slightly difficult to understand and he thought that The main protagonist was dead in the opening shot, we need to organize the trailer/ clips more when editing and also reshot the opening shot possibly so it is clear Jake is just upset, not dead.
