• Knowing the definition and the importance of video and audio.• Understanding the steps of producing an interesting video and audio.• Understanding the steps of using the Adobe Premiere software to produce a video.• Understanding the steps of using the Sound Forge software to produce an audio.

Student’s assessment will be evaluated based on the following breakdown:
1) Assignments 30 %
2) Final Project 20 %
3) Mid Term/Final Exam 50 %
Total 100 %
P ARTICIPATION The lecturer will evaluate student’s participation in the class.
I NDIVIDUAL A SSIGNMENT
Individual assignments will be given to the student on the f irst week and will have to bereturned on a specified week mention on assignment.
The assignments will be related to the topics covered in the class.
Should the students fail to submit his/her assignment on the specified week, the result willautomatically be nil.
P RE F INAL E XAM /T EST
Pre final exam / test will be conducted to introduce to the students the concept of finalexam that they will face in the semester.
Pre final exam / test will be conducted on week 12. It will assess the student’s knowledgeand understanding of the topics covered in class.
The results, together with the answer scripts, will be returned to the students no later thanweek 15.
Should a student be absent without a valid apology, the result will automatically be nil.

F INAL P ROJECT
The Final Project (in group) will be given to the student on the first week. There will bethree to four persons in each group.
Students will have to submit the project not later than week 14. If the students fail to submit his/her assignment on specified week, the result will automatically be nil.
F INAL E XAMINATION
The final examination will be conducted on week 18 and its duration will be 2 hours.
The format of the examination is as follows:
• Section A – Fill in the blank, true or false questions and short questions 20 Points
• Section B – Short Questions 10 * 4 Points
• Section C – Subjective Essay-type Questions Choose 2 out of 4 * 20 Points
• Total 100 Points

A TTENDANCE
Attendance for both lectures and the tutorials is compulsory. Any student not attending aclass should provide a medical certificate or a written justification (signed by a parent or
guardian in the case of a full-time student and signed by employer in the case of a part-time student). Should a student fail to do so, he/she will be considered truant.
Should a student attendance for a given subject is lower then 70%, he/she will not beallowed to sit for the final examination.
Punctuality is equally important. The lecturer is entitled to refuse entry into theclassroom to any student that would present him/herself late.

The duration of the classes is 15 weeks. Contact time consists of 2 hours of lecture, 2hours of tutorial and ½ hours of consultation per week.
