With the nights getting shorter, where better to spend your evenings (mornings and afternoons!) than with us as we light up the hills with an electrifying, eclectic programme of work.

Last chance to see . . .There’s still time to catch a performance (or six) in our highly acclaimed Summer Season. All our shows play until 13 October. This year, we will finish with an entire week devoted to our hugely popular musical, Chicago. Critics and audiences have universally agreed that this sell-out show is ‘to die for’! We are delighted to be able to extend it’s run for an extra 8 performances.

Bold New VisionIn September, we look forward to introducing you to Elizabeth Newman, our new Artistic Director. She will share her bold new artistic vision when we unveil our 2019 summer programme in November 2018.

Follow The Yellow Brick Road . . .. . . to Pitlochry this festive season as we dive into the eye of the storm (or tornado!) from 23 November, when our much-anticipated winter musical, The Wizard Of Oz takes centre stage. Expect magic, munchkins, monkeys and plenty of WOW factors as we bring a family favourite to exhilarating life. If you like the iconic film, you’ll love this musical.

We have also programmed a wide range of visiting companies which are set to light up your nights! Enjoy the music of Mozart and Manilow, the drama of The Macbeths, a foot-stomping set from Skipinnish, as well as tours, talks, workshops. . .

Whatever the season remember, there’s no place like Pitlochry!

The UnwantedShaper/ Caper

It’s a comedy, it’s dance theatre, it’s about failure - it’s a comedy dance theatre show.

In The Unwanted, narrator Thomas starts by sharing his letters of rejection. Meanwhile Vince, armed with a multitude of cheap props, will bring the tale to life physically. (He might need a few pals from the audience to help him, especially for the ‘big’ numbers . . .)

Destruction and chaos ensue as props fail and costumes fall apart, while the pair do everything they can to just keep going on!

With comedy songs written by Mark Franks (The Overtones) and with lots of audience dancing, this show will make failure funny – yours, mine and particularly Thomas’s.

There will be a free workshop for anyone who has ever wanted to make a piece of dance theatre (which will be included in the show!) Check website for details.

Twisted TalesA hilarious triple-bill of comedies which explore the lengths people will go to for love.

Why have three strangers; a brash Bristolian, a Cockney wide-boy and an introverted blogger been summoned to play a deadly locked-room mystery?

Who is the bandaged man, obsessively in love and held captive, counting down the seconds until it’s time for HER to return and the “thing I can’t say” to begin?

How will two childrens’ TV presenters dispose of a corpse before time runs out? All they have is their arts and crafts skills, and a foul-mouthed, criminal genius glove puppet.

Owdyado Theatre brings you three twisted tales in an anarchic and entertaining night, inspired by cult TV series The Twilight Zone.

Co-written by Daniel Richards and Charlotte Bister (A View from the Edge, Above Bored) Brett Harvey (Brown Willy, Weekend Retreat) and Jon Welch (Spillikin, Swivelhead).

Old Blind DogsThe legendary, multi award-winning Old Blind Dogs bounded into their 25th anniversary year with a cracking new album Room With A View, playing to full houses across Scotland, USA and Germany.

With a line-up from the world of Scottish folk music that is approaching superstar status, founder member Jonny Hardie (fiddle/vocals) is joined by Aaron Jones (guitar/bouzouki/vocals), Ali Hutton (pipes) and Donald Hay (percussion).

Together they create a sound that is uniquely Old Blind Dogs, which still stands at the forefront of the Scottish roots music revival. It’s fair to say that their style, drawing as it does from the rhythms of Middle Eastern, rock, reggae, jazz and blues music went on to influence many bands but nobody does it like the Dogs!
