WAI`ALAE SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY Wai`alae School will be closed on THIS FRIDAY - August 21st - in observance of the Admissions Day Holiday.
GRANDPARENTS & KUPUNA BREAKFAST On Thursday September 10, 2015 we will be having our annual Grandparents & Kupuna Breakfast from 7:00am to 7:30am, in the Dining Hall. Ticket sales begin on Wednesday August 26th in the School Office. A flyer with a ticket order form and event details was distributed through the classrooms, please look for a yellow -colored flyer. All Adult and non-Wai`alae Student breakfasts for September 10th must be pre -ordered and pre-paid at the School Office.
PCNC ROOM CLOSED 8/27, 9/3 The Parent-Community Networking Center (room A-3) will be closed on Thursday August 27th and on Thursday September 3rd due to ‘AINA IS Nutrition Docent Training and ‘AINA IS Garden Docent Training, respectively.
SCHOOL PICTURE DAY Please note that our School Picture Day will be on Friday September 11, 2015. All students will be photographed. More information will be sent home before Picture Day.
PD DAY CHILD CARE Students wil l not have classes on Friday September 4th due to a Teacher Professional Development Day. Childcare is being offered. Please see the attached flyer for details.
ON-CALL POSITION AVAILABLE AT WAI`ALAE SCHOOL We are currently seeking to hire an on-call “substitute” classroom cleaner at Wai`alae School. If you are interested in applying, or would like additional information, please contact Mr. Kapono Ciotti, at 733 -4880.
TRAFFIC MONITOR The Honolulu Police Department is currently looking to hire a Traffic Monitor for our school. This paid position requires one hour in the morning before school and one hour in the afternoon after school on school days. and traffic on the roads starting Monday.

Please do not park on the residential side of 19th
Avenue.
Please do not block gates, driveways, stairways to
our campus.
Please do not block the City & County parking lot at
Petrie Park on 20th Avenue.
Due to the anticipated participation for
this event, all ADULT(and non-Wai`alae
Student) breakfast meals MUST BE pre-
ordered for September 10th. Walk-in
purchases of ADULT meals will NOT be
allowed between 7am and 7:30am.

Child Care Reminder:
PD Day Friday, September 4th 2015
Child care will be provided on September 4, 2015 (PD Day)
Cost is $30.00 per day, per student.
The hours of operation will be from 6:30am to 5:30pm. Please
provide lunch, water bottle, and a snack(s) for your child. Pick-up &
Drop-off will be in the Dining Hall. Registration forms are located in
the Wai`alae School Office between 7:30am and 4:00pm, or can be
downloaded from the school website - click on “Wai`alae Plus (W+)
Forms” under the “Wai`alae Plus (W+)” tab, select the form that says
“AM & PD Day Child Care Form – Rev. April 2015”.

calendar to check for upcoming childcare dates which include
Conferences, Teacher Work Day, Waiver Days, and Intersessions.
