Popsicle Social Thursday, Aug. 30 (2:00 - 3:00 PM) The class lists will be posted! This is your opportunity to find out which teacher your incoming student will have and sign up for your Family Connections Meeting (that will take place the
week of Sept 5th-7th), all while visiting with other Alki families and enjoying a nice cold popsicle! Not available? The class lists will be posted in the hallway or you contact Principal Deese 206.252.9055 ([email protected]).
Principal Coffee/Office Hours Friday, Aug. 31 (8:00-10:00 AM) Drop by anytime between 8am and 10am for questions, concerns, and sharing hopes & dreams for the upcoming
school year with Principal Deese. Family Connections Meetings Wednesday, Sept. 5 - 7 This is an opportunity to meet and ask any questions you might have of your child’s teacher prior to the school year

First Day of School for Kindergarten Monday, Sept. 10 (7:50 AM) Please meet your classroom teacher on the blacktop near the playground. Teachers will walk their students to the classroom
by 7:55 AM. If families would like to walk their child to the classroom, they are welcome to check in at the front office and then head over to the classroom.
First Day Kinder Reception Monday, Sept. 10 (8:20 AM) Join us for coffee in the lunchroom after you have said
goodbye to your Kindergartener!
Back to School BBQ Wednesday, Sept. 13 (5:00 - 6:30 PM) Please join us for our Annual Back to School BBQ on the
Alki Blacktop. Hot Dogs and condiments will be provided. Potluck details coming soon.
First PTA Meeting Wednesday, Sept. 13 (6:30-7:30 PM) Following the BBQ is our first PTA meeting of the year in the

All kindergarten students should come with a backpack or book bag (no wheels please) labeled with their name and extra set of clothes in a ziplock bag that they will keep in their locker.
• 1 box Crayola thick 8 count markers • 2-pocket folders: 1 each color in red, orange,
yellow, blue, green (no fasteners please) • Lunchbox (optional if bringing their lunch)
Some items, including all Wish List items, will be combined into classroom sets.
Kindergarten Wish List (optionally buy one or two) • 1 case baby wipes • 1 liter hand sanitizer with pump • 30 glue sticks • 5 Smead® Poly String & Button Booklet Envelope
