The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is ushering in a paradigm shift that is expected to surpass both the Iron Age and the Industrial Revolution combined. Every job in every industry – including electric utilities – is going to change as the Age of AI begins to take hold.

In this thought-provoking session, you will learn about: The current state of AI and where the

technology is headed. How you can start preparing today to

ensure that you and your organization are ready for the AI era.

Nick Myers

Founder & CEO RedFox AI

The advent and evolution of smart grids in the 21st century have helped to accelerate the pace of change in the utility industry. In his address, a noted industry expert and author of three technology books, including best-seller The Advanced Smart Grid, will detail the building blocks of basic smart grids and how the technology has evolved. The presentation will explore a case study in the design and construction of the first citywide smart grid in the U.S., providing perspective on the many successes and lessons learned. You’ll also learn about tools and best practices needed to address the diverse technological and organizational challenges involved in preparing for the advanced smart grid.

A frequent presenter at global utility and technology forums, Mr. Carvallo is known as the “Smart Grid Godfather.” He is a dynamic and entertaining speaker who will showcase three decades of visionary leadership as an executive, educator, engineer, author and innovator, offering insights about the future of advanced smart grids and a redesigned energy ecosystem.
