A vision coupled with hope Grow, baby, grow! Did you know that we are about to grow like never before? Hi, my name is Kristy Rose, the newest member of the mcc team. My initiative is to find you more and new connections, leads, and opportunities to create commerce. I have a lofty, but doable goal — 30 new clients a month. How will I do it? First, I am reaching out to 30 new companies a day, each and every day, each and every week pitching the fabulous new programming soon to launch. With that kind of activity, I have no doubt I will reach my goal. Just do the math! But wait, there’s more. Next, I will work with our Ambassadors Regional to connect to new leads around the county. As I bring more business in, I generate leads for you. We begin to act as lead generators. Finally, I am building a team of partners who are willing to offer a complimentary value-ad to all new and renewing mcc clients. For example, a free ad in the local newspaper, a free radio spot, a gift certificate to a restaurant, a free website with purchase of a hosting package, first 500 business cards free, and more. Ready. Set. GROW! Want to be a partner? Contact me at [email protected]. August 1, 2010 When David killed Goliath, he didn’t use the unfamiliar and untested weapons offered by King Solomon. Grow, baby, grow!

Did you know that we are about to grow like never before?

Hi, my name is Kristy Rose, the newest member of the mcc team. My initiative is to find you more and new connections, leads, and

opportunities to create commerce. I have a lofty, but doable goal 30 new clients a month. How will I do it?

First, I am reaching out to 30 new companies a day, each and every day, each and every week pitching the fabulous new programming soon to launch. With that kind of activity, I have no doubt I will reach my goal. Just do the math! But wait, theres more.

Ready. Set. GROW!

When David killed Goliath, he didnt use the unfamiliar and untested weapons offered by King Solomon. He chose two: a sling and 5 smooth stones.

These were but tools used to defeat the giant; however, I would proffer that the two authentic weapons vital to

Davids success were vision and hope. David saw beyond the 9-foot leviathan with his spear, shield and breastplate, and envisioned, as well as hoped for, success. Why? He had a different perspective. Goliath was a temporary but removable obstacle to winning the battle, a mere human up against divine powers. Davids vision and hope surpassed his obstacle.

Do we have a vision for and a hope in a better future for Madison County?

We are experiencing a face-off with a colossal economic quandary. Jobs are scarce. Retail is taking a hit. Education is controversial. And companies are closing their doors.

But wait, whats that noise just 20 minutes away? Is it the sound of success? Are we not literally on the border of the fastest growing county in the U.S.? Theres more. What about the highly successful incubator known as the Flagshipa one-of-a-kind initiative for this region. Isnt Ivy Tech expanding? Arent the Colts returning to Anderson, bringing an estimate of 40,000 shoppers with them? Do we

not have a regionally-recognized icon in our backyard known as Hoosier Park Racing Casino? Arent the industrial companies that stuck through the downturn coming out better and stronger than before?

We have land. We have water. And most importantly, we have good people fighting against the goliaths of Madison County. This gives me, and those at mcc, hope of a bright future.

    Whats our vision? A thriving,

diversified, regional marketplace that can stand against the tides of the economy. How will we get there? United. Working together to connect business clusters to create local AND regional commerce. Making a cheerful noise about doing business in Madison County. Inviting companies without and cultivating companies within. Providing a protective environment for businesses to foster. Working with local Government to be business friendly.

This isnt the first economic crisis, nor will it be the last. David had many more goliaths in his life including one in particular where he set aside his hope and vision. Will we as a business community set aside our vision and perspective of the future?

Dust off your sling shots, reach for your smooth stones, and join me in adding more jobs, protecting our precious retailers, improving our education, and placing open signs back in the windows of our businesses. This day, the battle is in our hands.

    Connecting Business. Creating Commerce.

Put your business in the hands

of 800 plus decision makers for only $199. You print it and fold it, well mail it. Save on cost of mailing through this unique, shared medium.

Groom the rising generation of opinion leaders. Inspire an arena of ideas. I could go on, but you get the point.

We have some hard work before us and its time to roll

up our sleeves and get to it. With our new name, mcc is better prepared to serve your business, connect you to new markets, and help rebrand Madison County and surrounding regions as a thriving center for commerce without all the politics, boundaries, or past histories.
