Jaxon may only have been born on August 19 at Darwin Private Hospital — but dad Thomas has real aspirations that he will be a professional tennis player. Young Jaxon certainly has the measurements to be a sports star — at 49.5cm tall and 2.94kg. He has three step-siblings to play with when he goes home to Gunn in Palmerston — eight- year-old Jasmine, six-year-old Bayley and three- year-old Izzak. An early riser born at 7.39am, the baby is behaving well but “starting to get a bit of a personality”, according to mum Kylie. Sophie Heather Torrens THE Torrens and Rickard families were over the moon after they welcomed the arrival of their newest family member — Sophie. She was born at 10.31am on July 23. Father Kayne Torrens surprised partner Dee Rickard with the announce-ment of their baby girl’s name. After having found out the baby’s sex, Kayne was hoping to name her Sophie. Her middle name Heather was also in memory of Kayne’s mother. Sophie was born at Royal Darwin Hospital, weighing in at 3.6kg after a nine-hour labour. Angus McDonald Gutterson THERE was no rushing Angus McDonald Gutterson. He came out nine days overdue on August 17 at Darwin Private Hospital. He hasn’t stopped sleeping since — except to grab some tucker. The young lad measured 52.5cm on the day he was born at Darwin Private Hospital. Parents Amy and Gregory are delighted with Amy’s first-born. The hand-me-downs might be a bit big from step-siblings Mitchell, 13, Caitlyn, 15, and Patrick, 12. When the bub gets home to Gray he’ll be straight into following the Wallabies in the Rugby World Cup. Kyla Shannon Booth FIRST-TIME parents Amber and Tim Booth were head- over-heels when they welcomed beautiful baby girl Kyla Shannon Booth. The couple and their families were jumping for joy when they heard the first granddaughter of both families was born in Alice Springs General Hospital on a Saturday afternoon. Kyla graced the birthing ward with her presence at 12.14pm on August 6. The newest addition to the family was 10 days overdue and a little light at just 2.83kg. Everyone present was absolutely rapt at the beautiful baby girl in front of them. Madison Rose Todd FIRST-TIME mother Aliesha Todd was proud to welcome beautiful daughter Madison Rose into the world on July 9. The soon-to-be All Blacks fan was born weighing 3.1 kg and measured 47.5 cm. The Jabiru mum says her well-behaved daughter can grow up to be whatever she likes — so long as she is happy. Ms Todd thanks parents Sue and Grant Todd, and best friend Fiona Thomas — for support in the pregnancy and birth. Elijah Robert Green THE Goodfellow and Green families are delighted to welcome the newest family member — Elijah Robert. TWINS Isabelle Grace and Breanna Joy are the first babies for Renee and Kevin Powell. At birth, Isabelle weighed 1.5kg and measured 37cm while Breanna was 2kg and measured 39.5cm. The proud parents from Marrara knew they were having twins from the sixth week of pregnancy. “We were as prepared as we could be,” Renee said. “I think we’re going to have our hands full.” The future Bulldogs supporters were born one minute apart on July 27. The Virginia couple have already bought Bree — their first child — her first motorbike. “As soon as she is tall enough to sit on it properly, and smart enough to control it, she will be riding it around the block,” Kyla said. Mother and baby are doing well. Bree Lucy was born on July 27, two weeks early, at 9.10pm after a 16 hour labour. She weighed 2.9kg. Lily-Zhade Matilda Smith THE Smith family is complete after the birth of baby Lily- Zhade Matilda. Little Lily-Zhade is the fifth limb in the Smith family tree. Mum Samantha and dad Anthony already have a fleet of ready-made babysitters, with their eldest child Paige, 16, already bursting at the seams to be signed up. Paige will of course receive assistance from her siblings Abbey, 12, Jesse, 12, and Anthony, 8. The family would like to thank Dr O’Callaghan and all the staff and midwives at Darwin Private Hospital. She was born on August 5 at 5.28pm. She weighed in at 2.81kg and measured 47cm. THE Lay family has been swamped with little red packets after the birth of Rose Lay. It is a tradition in Chinese culture to present families with red packets containing money on special occasions. Rose has received dozens of the packets from the family’s closest friends and relatives. Rose is mum Lily and dad Kivi’s second child. Rose’s big brother Ryan is five, and Lily said everything is starting to come back to her. “It’s been five years, but it’s coming back to me. Rose was born on August 4 at 4.30pm. Jaxon James HolmesTENNIS star Roger Federer had better watch his

back for up-and-coming Territorian Jaxon James

Holmes.

Jaxon may only have been born on August

19 at Darwin Private Hospital — but dad Thomas

has real aspirations that he will be a professional

tennis player.

Young Jaxon certainly has the measurements

to be a sports star — at 49.5cm tall and 2.94kg.

He has three step-siblings to play with when

he goes home to Gunn in Palmerston — eight-
