The staff and Board of Pingelly and Brookton Community Bank® branches are proud to be celebrating a special milestone of 10 years in business in our local communities.

Both branches celebrated this milestone on the 15 June by holding a BBQ and cake cutting, with shareholders, customers and the wider community invited to take part.

Since opening our doors for business back in 2002 we have contributed more than $200,000 back into the local communities of Pingelly and Brookton in the form of sponsorships and grants.

This has only been possible through the banking business of our customers – the more business we have in our branches, the more profit we generate to return back into our communities.

We thank our loyal shareholders and customers for their support over this ten year period and we look forward to what the next ten years

will hold.

see resultsAt Bendigo Bank we walk the talk. Perhaps it’s because our agribusiness bankers love the land as much as you do, and understand the challenges and rewards faced by primary producers.

Perhaps it’s because our specialist products and services meet the needs of a seasonally focused business. Perhaps it’s our long-held commitment to face-to-face relationships.

Or perhaps it’s because we have our roots rmly planted in regional WA and are part of the communities we serve. We like to think it’s all these things that set us apart. Drop into your nearest branch today and nd out more.

2012 Bendigo Bank Shears was held on Saturday 25 February. We were lucky enough to experience kinder weather conditions than last year’s event.

The event attracted 27 shearers from across the state. It was especially great this year to see so many Under 21 Shearers compete – the future looks very promising.

Ten local shearers also took to the stands and represented Pingelly exceptionally well. Out of the ten who competed, seven made the finals and two were champions in their division.

The spectators were treated to some fantastic shearing and every division was closely contested with not many points separating 1st to 5th place.

The coordinators were thoroughly grateful to all the sponsors and once again thanked Pingelly and Brookton Community Bank® branches for their ongoing support. Vice President of the Board Les Eyre was there to present the trophies, and expressed how the local Community Bank® branches love to be involved in great community events such as the Pingelly Shears, and looks forward to a long partnership moving forward.

The winners for the Bendigo Bank Pingelly Shears were: • Under 21 Luke Blechynden (Pingelly) • Intermediate Tom Read (York) • Seniors Callum O’Brien (Pingelly) • Open Damien Boyle (Broomehill)
