Many of our guests at the Wildcat Lodge have returned to the Northwoods of Wisconsin for an enjoyable vacation of fishing, touring and simply relaxing along the shores of Big and Little Kitten Lake.

The fishing has been very good with catches of muskies, large crappies and walleyes. Nearby lakes are giving up perch, northern and smallmouth bass. Muskies will be getting more and more active as fall approaches. There's no doubt that this is the best time for fishing in the Northwoods.

Our lodge is about 350 miles from Chicago, 250 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul or Milwaukee. It's an easy drive and in most cases, only one tank full of gas away. We're so close that you may leave your home in the morning and be fishing on one of our lakes that same afternoon.

Fall Muskie FishingOne of the best times of the year to visit the Northwoods of Wisconsin is in the fall. Why? Because the Boulder Junction area is the Musky Capital of the World. And why would you stay at the Wildcat Lodge? Because our three lakes, Big and Little Kitten and Wildcat Lake are all Class A Musky waters.

The odds are in your favor at our three lakes that you'd be able to get your first musky. If you're a die-hard musky hunter, you also have a chance to get your personal best on our lakes. And what's better still, you don't have to travel and tow your boat from one lake to another. You can launch your boat on Wildcat Lake and have your own dock (lighted and with electric) right by your cabin.

Glide baits, bucktail spinners and suckers are good baits to try on our lakes. Some of our guests have caught 2 and 3 muskies in one day on our lakes.

Vacation Rates at Wildcat Lodge

Our cabins are available year round even though the main lodge is closed during the winter. In Boulder Junction, only a few miles down the road, you can enjoy dining for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Our housekeeping cabins all have the necessary items if you like to cook your own meals.

From 16 June to 25 August 2013, the following weekly rates are in effect:- 2 Bedroom Cabin - $1375.00- 3 Bedroom Cabin - $1475.00- Executive Homes - $1925.00After 26 August our winter rates will be $160.00 per night (3 night minimum) for 2 persons. Each extra person is $15.00 per night.
