Member Lodging Special

When a member is unable to accompany their guest to the Club, a Guest Card will be required to provide the guest with access privileges to the property. A Guest Card may be requested by the member at a cost of $20 per day or $100 for the week. Tax is additional. A parking pass is also included for preferred parking. On Wednesday, August 13 from 6-7:30 p.m., tweens (9-14 yrs.), will join Ponte Vedra Beach artist, Kristen King, as she conducts an art class where instruction is blended with fun and creativity. Tween Art Class

On Saturday, August 9 from 6-8 p.m., the Recreation Department will host pony rides on the beach for children. The $10 per child price includes unlimited rides, airbrush tattoos and live music. Call 273-9600 for reservations as space is limited.

Beach Pony RidesThe next meeting of The Lodge’s Book Club will take place on Tuesday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to Noon. Enjoy a spot of tea or coffee and some great conversation as those in attendance will discuss “All Quiet on the Western Front” by Erich Maria Remasque. No registration is necessary.

A Classic Revisited

The next Trivia Night for Adults will be conducted on Monday, August 11. Members, arranged in teams of 8 persons, will vie for fame, prizes and club bragging rights. There will also be beverage specials. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first question asked at 7 p.m. In addition, be sure to come early for the Monday Night Buffet served from 5:30–8 p.m. for $19.50 per person plus service charge and tax.

Kid’s Disney Trivia Night

Starting August 5 and continuing every Tuesday through the month, The Lodge will host an instructional dance class for boys and girls from 4-5 p.m. It’s here that children (ages 3-8) will be introduced to thirty minutes of ballet followed by thirty minutes of tap dance. Parents can expect the young ones to learn rhythm and movement as they improve in coordination and confidence. There is no charge. Please call 273-9600 to register.

Kids PJ Party & Drop off the children on Friday, August 15 from 6–8 p.m. as the Recreation Department will be showing “Lego Movie” and serving pizza, cookies and soft drinks. $10 per child (ages 3–10). The next Dive In Movie is scheduled for Saturday, August 2 at dusk in the Family Pool and surrounding deck. The family animated film, “Shrek 3”, will be featured on a large screen for all to enjoy as they “bob and float”. The Barefoot Bistro will remain open until 9 p.m. serving snacks and beverages for purchase.

The Gym Nursery is a delightful drop-in childcare facility, where children (ages 6 months to eight years) enjoy supervised play by an enthusiastic and caring staff. This service is designed as a convenience for Lodge members while they work-out or dine at the Club. Nursery hours are 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. (Mon-Fri) and 8 a.m. – noon (Sat & Sun). Personal Trainer Spotlight

This year’s Labor Day Fun Run on Monday, September 1 will be equal parts fun and run. We’re asking members to dress as they did in 1980 wearing headbands, leotards, leg warmers, neon colors and more. Nothing’s off limits! A prize will be presented to the ‘best 1980s dressed’ male and female. The 7:30 a.m. run will start at Ponte Vedra’s Surf Club continue along the beach to The Lodge and return to PVIC. There is no admission fee to participate. Remember to load your iPod with the greatest hits of Duran Duran, Journey and Hall & Oates!

The Gym is conducting another Kids’ Yoga Class on Wednesday, August 6 at 4 p.m. It’s here that children (ages 5–12) will learn about stretching, meditation and simple yoga poses. This 45-minute class is complimentary. Registration is not necessary.
