Unfortunately, that’s not the Miami University the Badgers are taking on. The Miami we’re talking about is in Oxford, Ohio. Oh, well. Bring ’em on anyway!

IF YOU GOOGLE REDHAWK …You won’t find it on the Internet. Maybe it’s a bird found only in Ohio. Your UW Band Alumni Reunion will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, when our Wisconsin Badgers will take on the RedHawks of Miami University.

EAT THIS ROCKKickoff is at 11:00 a.m. Please check uwalumni.com/band for updated schedule information. Each alumna or alumnus who registers to attend will receive a game ticket with an assigned seat. (We will seat you by instrument, and we are unable to take specific seating-assignment requests.) Everyone must have a ticket to get into the stadium, including run-on participants. Consequently, we must have your registration by September 1 so that we can arrange for the tickets in advance. Each alumni-band member may order up to two additional tickets for family members at the price of $45 each. Game tickets will not be mailed out prior to the reunion.

REGENT STREET RETREAT IT’S NOTIn fact, you won’t find a UW regent near the place! To start the weekend off right, join your fellow

alumni for music, dancing, and wonderful times at The Red Zone (formerly the Regent Street Retreat), 1212 Regent Street, Madison, on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. The UWBAA will provide hors d’oeuvres; a cash bar will be available.

STYLIN’We will again offer the band alumni crewneck sweatshirt for $30, polo shirt for $30, and hoodie for $35, designed by band alumnus Scott Mason. Five dollars of each purchase will support the UW Marching Band. You should receive the shirts sometime in October.

UWBAA 2015 REUNION

The UWBAA Bill Garvey Memorial Golf Outing at Glenway Golf Course, 3747 Speedway Road, Madison, WI, 608-244-1822. The $55-per-person fee includes nine holes of golf with a shotgun start, the use of a cart, a donation to the UW Band Alumni Association, refreshments afterward, prizes for all, and the Rooney Raffle. Please arrive by 2:45 in order to secure your tee time.

Kick off the weekend at The Red Zone (formerly the Regent Street Retreat), 1212 Regent Street, Madison. We will provide appetizers; a cash bar will be available.

Instrument checkout and registration in the Field House. You must register to receive your game ticket and to participate in the day’s activities. Game tickets WILL NOT be mailed in advance. DO NOT PARK IN THE LOTS ADJACENT TO THE FIELD HOUSE.

Fifth Quarter. Return rented instruments to the Field House. All those who wish to join the band on the field for the Fifth quarter and/or return to the Humanities building are welcome to do so.

The sixth quarter. Post-game party at UNION SOUTH. Free refreshments and munchies will be provided.
