Diabetes & You, Part II Informational lunch has been rescheduled for

Friday, August 27th!

Beginning at 11:45, Dr. Michele Durr will be recapping Diabetes & You,

Part I before moving on to the medications used to treat diabetes, medical

care/appointments, treating low blood sugars, and types of infections that

diabetics are at risk for.

Please call no later than August 24th with your reservation for lunch

(suggested donation of $5.00 per meal). The presentation is free and you are

not required to order a meal to attend.

Hello August!

Thanks to the Committee, “The Gathering Nook” is taking on a much needed

refreshing look! The holes in the ceiling have now been replaced with new

ceiling tiles, the carpeting has been cleaned and there has been new linoleum

purchased to be installed in the bathroom. We have hopes of having the brand

new television that was donated a year ago up and running along with some

movies and freshly popped popcorn. Now what we need is you!

The ladies have been having a great time together making cards, painting and

of course socializing while sharing their talents with others. Moving forward,

the plan is to be making craft items that can be displayed and sold as part of

our fundraisers.

We are still in need of community people with a caring heart to become part

“of the family” and join us in helping others. You let us know what you enjoy

and how you’d like to help out, we’ll welcome you with open arms!
