Festival News
Festival Turtle Soup Update Thanks to all who helped wash jars for turtle soup on Saturday, August 20! After
washing all of the jars we had, we are still in need of quart jars and lids and rings
to seal them. If you can help with either of these needs, it would be greatly appre-
ciated! We make 660 gallons of turtle soup to sell the week before and the day of
the festival. We still need 26 dozen regular mouth lids and rings, and 75
dozen quart jars! The quart jars and lids and rings can be dropped off at the
parish office during business hours, or put in the large plastic container on the
porch of the parish office after business hours. Thanks for your help in making the
turtle soup sale a success for our festival!
Help Needed We will be washing dishes in the school kitchen, in
preparation for the Parish Festival, on Tuesday, September
5th at 5:00pm. All are welcome to help. This is a great
opportunity for students needing service hours!
