Assalaaamu alaikum Wr Wb

It has been a great pleasure to see the progress of

students so far in the last two terms. The

students are motivated and keen to learn new

things in the classroom.

Each term is always a very busy Term and I

would like to thank all the parents of my student

for putting time aside during your busy schedule

to support your child’s learning and by praising

and encouraging them to succeed. It is important

to spend a few minutes of your quality time

helping your child with their homework as these

consolidates with what your child has learnt at

school.

Insha Allah with the learning the students do at

school and your help at home I’m sure your child

will reach their utmost potential. Please do come

in and see if you have any concerns about your

child’s learning.

Dear parents,

This year we are participating in the Woolworths

Earn & Learn program. Through this program we

will be able to get new educational resources for our

school and all we need you to do is shop for your

groceries at Woolworths.

This program started from 26th July and end on 19th

September or while stock lasts, we are collecting

Woolworths Earn & Learn sticker for every $10 spent.

Place the Woolworths Earn & Learn sticker onto a

Woolworths Earn & Learn sticker sheet and when it’s

complete, the sticker sheet can be dropped into the

Collection box here at the school or at your local

Woolworths. Please be informed that Woolworths

at Pacific Fair has kindly set up a collection box

marked AIICGC outside their store for our College.

So, look out for our College collection box on your

next grocery shopping trip to drop the stickers.

At the end of the promotion, we’ll be able to get

some great new equipment. The range is extensive

and offers lots of items ideal for our students—

including resources for Maths, English, Science and

some fantastic fun supplies for Arts & Craft, sport

their class. For this term the students

have decided that they wanted to learn

about different places around the world,

weather, telling time and shapes. Thus we

will have a look at all these areas and

more through the term.

get their weekly spelling words. The

spelling words are

distributed Mondays

and the tests are on

Fridays. The students

also have “Targeting

Mental Maths” books in

their homework folder

and like in previous

terms students are

required to complete one unit per week

(week 1= unit 18, week 2= unit 19, week

3= unit 20…etc). Some students have an

additional homework i.e comprehension

and a booklet.

Our library day is on Friday, so please

ensure year 2’s have their library bags to

borrow books. Our sport days will continue

to be on Thursday and Friday so please

ensure students are dressed

appropriately (sports school uniform).
