Throughtheprogram,BiaregularlymeetswithherFamiliesTogetherworker,Gaylene.Together,theyareworkingonwhatBiacallsa“three-steptechnique.”
“Wheneverapossibleargumentcomesalong,IstartbytellingMcKennatogotakeabreakandresetherself.ThenIcangocalmdownandeven-tually,wecantalkitout,”Biasays.“It’steachingbothofus.MymaingoalrightnowistolearnhowtobetterhandleMcKennaandbetterhandlemyself.”
Biaisalsopracticingthetechniquewithheryoungerdaughter,Brynn,whichshesaysis“workingperfectly.”It’sdrasticallyimprovingthewayherfamilycommunicates,andBiasaysshehasrecommendedFamiliesTogethertoanyfriendslookingforguidance.
