Summary of Vocational ProgramsThe district offers a complete vocational program, which is open to all students. The following vocational programs are offered at the school level:FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE: Life Skills, Parenting, Food/Nutrition I and II, Fashion I and II, Money Skills, Family and Consumer Sciences Co-opBUSINESS & OFFICE: Digital Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Accounting and Principles of Marketing, Principles of Teaching, Business Management, and Business Co-op AGRICULTURE: Principles of Agriculture, Agricultural Coop (2 periods – Seniors), Agriculture Con-struction Skills I, Agriculture Construction Skills II, Animal Science, Leadership Dynamics, and Wildlife ManagementINDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY: Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering & Architecture, Aerospace 1, Aerospace 2 and Aerospace 3

Hancock County High School in collaboration with Owensboro Community and Technical College is offering the following classes that will enable a student to receive certification upon completion of each program:

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: Web-Page Design, HTML Web-Page Design, Computer Hardware Software, Digital Graphics, Internet Technologies and Practicum, Information and Technology Co-op

HEALTH SCIENCES: Intro to Health Science, Medicaid Nurse Aid, Medical Terminology, and Emer-gency Procedures

OCTCS/LEWISPORT Campus: Welding I & II and Industrial Maintenance

Hancock County students may also take courses at the Area Vocational College by choosing from the fol-lowing course offerings:

KY TECH DAVIESS COUNTY CAMPUS: (programs are offered based upon the demand for specific classes) Auto Technology, Diesel Technology, Child Care Development, Health Sciences, Machine Tool, Computer Aided Drafting, and Welding

KY TECH OWENSBORO CAMPUS: Basic Electronics, Carpentry, Health Services, Metal Fabrication, Construction Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, Air Condition-ing and Drafting

All course offerings are free to the students and transportation is provided to and from the area vocational school, unless unable to schedule on regular vocational route.

Adult Education classes are offered to individuals pursuing a GED certificate. Adult programs are offered periodically based upon the demand for specific classes.
