MYANMAR PASTORS
title: Four Conference Presidents (yearly rotating basis)
in office since: March, 2005
live in: Myanmar (various loca-tions)
Conference includes:59 churches with 1,713 members total and 58 pastors/workers. They have two Bible colleges with a total of 27 students and care for 137 orphaned children.
NOTE: This information is not for re-publication in any form.
The AC Myanmar Conference was established in 2005 with four independent Christian groups who agreed to work together as one conference.
A cruel military junta seized power of the country in 1962 with one aim, “There shall be no home where the Christian religion is practiced.” Recently, there has been some progress towards true democracy; however, Christians continue to minister under very difficult conditions. In 2012 some leaders experienced difficulties and harass-ment from the authorities. In some cases, the pastors risk their liberty and lives as they share the message of Jesus Christ.
Pray for the safety of our Myanmar AC Confer-ence and for its workers and members of the churches of the conference. Pray the country will continue to move towards true democracy.

Ernie had been president of AC Missions New Zealand, and had organized work teams to Oro Bible College in the Philippines and the former College of Evangelism in India. He brought those skills to the mission field.
In India, Ernie supervised ministry finances and worked with Indian nationals in building church-es, parsonages and related projects. He helped church members establish micro-businesses to support their families.
Besides Asia Team Leader duties, Ernie also serves as president of the New Zealand AC Conference.
