AUMA India bags the prestigious order of terminal automation project of BPCL, Kochi refinery for supplying non-intrusive type ex-proof actuators with FIELDBUS

AUMA India, the leader in the field of electricactuation in India, has been chosen to supply183 actuators for an automation project at BPCL, Kochi refinery. This refinery is presently embarking on the Automation Project whichwould increase the refining capacity from9.5 MMTPA to 15.5 MMTPA. The refinery would also be modernised and re-equippedto produce auto fuels complying with EuroIV/V specifications to meet the growing demandof petroleum products in Indian market. AUMAIndia has already supplied actuators for a number of projects at Kochi refinery of BPCL.

AUMA India actuators to be a part of NTPC Meja & Solapur 2 x 660 MW Super Critical Power Projects for supplying weather-proof actuators & gearboxes

AUMA India has bagged orders for supplying weather-proof electric actuators & gearboxes for dampers &boiler applications from a number of valve makers for theNTPC Meja & Solapur 2 x 660 MW supercritical power plants at Meja, Uttar Pradesh and Solapur, Maharashtra. The supercritical thermal power plants will have 1,320 MWpower generation capacity each. These power plants willhave super critical technology, which will help lower emissionof CO2 from the plants. AUMA India has been a long timesupplier of electric actuators and valve gearboxes for variousNTPC projects in India.

AUMA India has been chosen to supplyactuators with high capacity gearboxes for the louvre and gate applications at NTPC –Darlipali super thermal power plant, Darlipalivillage in Sundargarh district of Odisha state.

AUMA India inaugurates C h e n n a i B r a n c h O f f i c e

AUMA India inaugurated its branch office in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu to serve itscustomers there. AUMA India has expanded itssales fleet by positioning the sales engineers inHyderabad, and shortly in Vadodara to meet the customers’ requirements. This brings actuatorsolutions closer to the customers by increasing their accessibility to it; AUMA India plans to appointmore field representatives in the near future expanding the range of its sales team.

National Safety Day 2015 programme was conducted by AUMAIndia and prizes were distributed for the employees who participated in Safety Quiz event. AUMA India periodically assesses& reviews the status on Safety, Health and Environment byusing various techniques such as Order & Cleanliness and SafetyAudits. This year AUMA India conducted safety & first-aid campaignduring the first week of March 2015 with both theoretical & practicalsessions on new and useful information on industrial safety, includingthe role of employees during emergency situations.

AUMA India has locally developed actuators with non-intrusive feature required for safety critical applications. These actuators are installed at a number of locations and meeting customer requirements satisfactorily. A unique feature ofthis product is battery-less design, thus eliminatingthe need to change battery on a periodic basis.

Easy set-up and operation: Set-up, commissioning, local operation and diagnostics/trouble shooting are via the local,non-intrusive interface. All of these operations can be done in hazardous environments or adverse weather conditions. It is not necessary to remove a single bolt or nut, which drastically reduces set-up time. The local push buttons provide full access to all of the functions.

AUMA India has introduced high precision contactless EPT EWG. The advantages to customers include: # Higher reliability # Easy push-to-calibrate function # Higher Accuracy # Longer life due to contactless type sensor

NEW CONTACTLESS EPT EWG (Electronic Position Transmitter)

Diagnostics: It has got in-built data logger with real time stamp fordiagnostics. The data logger provides advanced operational, maintenance and trouble shooting data for the work. Information may be viewed on the local display, easy to read. Programming andsetting the parameter is done via front key with a user friendly display.

Enhanced local interface: AUMA India actuator features highly accurate/ adjustable digital counter gear system for Limit & Torquesensing mechanism. Setting of the end limits and torque at the fieldis done without removing the switch compartment cover . This helpseasier/ faster in commissioning activity via AUMA PC Soft tool and the interface to the field systems is through MODBUS RTU.
