The Aurizon Agreement was certified yesterday 20th November 2013 and will operate as from the 27th November 2013. Aurizon Intermodal Rail Operations Enterprise Agreement finally certified! We would like to congratulate all members for the support, the determination and the effort in achieving the outcomes that have been obtained in this Agreement. The membership has stood united through the length of time that it took to achieve this Agreement including rejecting the company agreement last year. We would also like to thank the negotiation team delegates, John Harrison, Tony Lazarus, Peter Armstrong, Greg Phillips and Kevin Weedon for the time hard work and effort that they devoted to the development of this Agreement. Whilst we did not achieve everything that we wanted, the Agreement, as a whole, is an enhancement on the previous Agreement. As always there are always issues with the implementation of a new Agreement. If you have any queries or issues arising from the implementation of the new Agreement we would urge you to contact your local delegate, State Office, or the National Office on (02) 8203 6099. Once again congratulations on a successful outcome. I have attached the decision of the Fair Work Commission. AURIZON MEMBERS’ NEWSFLASH NO.8
