DAY 8 KINGS CANYON / AYERS ROCK Rise early this morning to make the rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views. The climb and walking may take up to three hours, so it is not for the faint-hearted or unfit. In hotter months, swimming in one of the rock pools in the Garden of Eden may be available or you may wish to explore the boulder strewn Canyon floor – an easier, shady river walk. Mid-morning travel to Ayers Rock, in the heart of the Red Centre. This afternoon visit Mt Olga to view the spectacular rock formations and be dwarfed by these 36 huge, mysterious domes. DAY 11 FULL DAY BLUE MOUNTAINS EXCURSION Today discover the beauty of the Blue Mountains. Visit Featherdale Wildlife Park, which houses a variety of wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, Australian reptiles, Tasmanian devils and wombats. Enter enclosures for face to face, touch to touch meetings with friendly

kangaroos and cuddly koalas. Your coach climbs up the Blue Mountains, an awe-inspiring ‘Grand Canyon’ of giant rock formations, deep tree-studded valleys and cascading waterfalls. Experience a thrilling ride on the world's steepest incline railway that descends 700 feet into the valley. A 900-foot boardwalk takes you to the base of the ‘Sceniscender’ Cable Car for the trip back to the top. See the famous ‘The Three Sisters’ rock formation and distant vistas including the Jamieson Valley and Mount Solitary, before returning to Sydney. DAY 12 SYDNEY Enjoy Sydney at leisure. DAY 13 SYDNEY / CAIRNS Transfer to Sydney Airport for your flight to Cairns. Set against a magnificent backdrop of high mountain ranges covered with lush, tropical rainforests, the city of Cairns is intimate, yet sophisticated, with designer shops and gourmet restaurants; a perfect contrast to the natural paradise of the Great Barrier Reef. DAY 14 FULL DAY MICHAELMAS CAY CRUISE The Great Barrier Reef supports 1,500 species of fish, 400 types of coral and over 30 types of whales and dolphins. It is the only living structure visible from the moon; an Australian national treasure and one of the true wonders of the world. Today sail by catamaran to Michaelmas Cay, a unique sand cay which is a protected sanctuary for more than 20,000 migratory sea birds of 14 species. The surrounding outer reef is a spectacular garden of exotic marine life, magnificent coral and giant clams, boasting more varieties of tropical fish than the entire Atlantic Ocean. Ride a semisubmersible vessel for coral viewing, enjoy guided snorkel tours from the beach accompanied by a marine biologist and a smorgasbord luncheon. Return to Cairns in the afternoon. DAY 15 KURANDA DAY EXCURSION Today board the Kuranda Scenic Rail for a spectacular journey. Pass massive Baron Falls, Stoney Creek and cross steep ravines to the unique rainforest village of Kuranda where you transfer to Rainforestation Nature Park set in a lush tropical environment. Tour the world heritage rainforest in a 6-wheel drive amphibious army duck and learn of rainforest ecology on land and water. See the Pamagirri Aboriginal dancers perform in the rainforest amphitheatre. Experience a dreamtime walk and learn of aboriginal culture and spear throwing. After a BBQ lunch, transfer back to Kuranda village to board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway which will take you skimming over the pristine rainforest canopy. Return to Cairns in the late afternoon.
