DAY 1
DAY 2
CANBERRA AND THE AUSTRALIAN WAR MEMORIAL BD
PARLIAMENT HOUSE AND THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AUSTRALIA BLD
This morning we enjoy a city tour, unveiling such sights as the Embassy Row - make sure you look out for the
spectacular traditional design of the Chinese Embassy and the splendid Georgian style United States Embassy!
Thanking our guide, we now pay tribute at the Australian War Memorial. Here you can enjoy lunch (own cost), join a
public tour or wander at your own pass through this somber and uplifting monument. We may also like to stay for
the moving Last Post Ceremony before returning to our hotel.
Heading to Capital Hill, the focal point of Canberra, we uncover the meeting place of the nation, Parliament House.
Listening to your guide as you are taken behind the scenes of this political power house, you may also have a chance
to witness democracy in action! Visit the National Museum of Australia, dedicated to bringing together Australia’s rich
and diverse stories. Enjoy lunch here before uncovering the museums highlights as you are guided through the
history this nation. There will be time to explore or browse the gift store before returning to the hotel.
TULIP TOP GARDENS AND LANYON HOMESTEAD BLD
Making sure our cameras are packed, we continue this Spring fling at the magnificent Tulip Top Gardens. Behold the
glorious display of tulips nestled between blossoming trees as you stroll along the path to the cascading waterfall.
Take the popular pathway past the rosemary fields to the high viewing platform for the perfect photo opportunity.
After a magical morning wandering around the tulips, we make our way to Lanyon Homestead. At Lanyon Café, you
will enjoy lunch while gazing at the Brindabella Mountains in the distance. Then it’s off to experience the restored
mid 1800’s Lanyon homestead. Taking our guides hand, we discover the Convict-era outbuildings and explore the
stunning gardens that make it the gem of Canberra’s history. After a splendid day touring Canberra’s outskirt, we
head back to our hotel to relax before dinner.

ALBURY TO SWAN HILL BLD
Taking another opportunity to celebrate Spring, we visit the Albury Botanic Gardens. Meeting our guide, we begin
meandering under the towering trees that line the inspiring gardens, uncovering the impressive plant collections of
both native and exotic origins. After our peaceful guided stroll, we enjoy morning tea. Then its back on the road as
we continue our journey. Stopping for lunch at Deniliquin, we push on reaching Swan Hill in time for dinner.
HOMEWARD BOUND BL
Today marks the last day on tour. Packing our bags one last time we travel to Mildura. Enjoying a peaceful lunch at
the Mildura Dockside Café we then travel to the Riverland, returning home after a wonderful holiday surrounded by
the amazing colours and fragrances unique to this time of the year.
Making the most of our return journey we head to Yass and explore the home of the first Australian-born explorer,
Hamilton Hume at Cooma Cottage. As our guide leads us through this fine example of a pioneer dwelling, we truly
capture the lives they must have led. Enjoying morning tea here, we continue on to Holbrook. After lunch, visit the
National Museum of Australian Pottery, the only Museum dedicated to 19th and early 20th century Australian
pottery. Spend time here wandering around the extensive range of pottery, such as colourful cheese covers,
beautiful bread plates and decorated water filters. Keep your eyes peeled as there are also few rare examples of
pottery made by the convict potter Jonathan Leak, who’s few surviving pieces are the earliest marked pottery
produced in Australia! After this unique visit we then travel to Albury and settle in for the evening.

TESTIMONY | To BusBiz,
Thankyou for another fabulous holiday jam packed with sights to see, places to visit, good food & accommodation.
Chris & I both enjoyed every bit of the tour and everything we did. We both think the idea of local guides getting on the coach &
showing us around, and all the information they shared, was an added bonus. Keep up the good work.— Bette & Chris Langham
