moderator

Allen Macourt

General Manager – National Markets, Cardno

Allen has over 30 years’ experience in leading Transport Projects here

throughout Australia. He was fortunate enough to work in Government at a time

when infrastructure planning moved from the “must spend your budget” model,

towards embracing multi-modal transport solutions, documented by rigorous

business cases.

As a consultant, Allen has led transport studies; route selections; concept

designs; environmental assessments; alliances; and hard dollar D&C designs.

His teams pioneered the first use in Queensland of the independent verifier role

on Tugun Bypass and the Ipswich Motorway, and he was the design

representative on the Hale Street Alliance Leadership Team (the Go Between

Bridge).

In his current role as General Manager – National Markets, Allen oversees

Cardno’s delivery of nation-building infrastructure projects for both the public

and private sectors throughout Australia. He utilises his experience and project

management skills, providing leadership, advice and support to our clients and

business teams.

Allen is a Trustee of CEDA.
