Megan Washington

Born January 1986 from Queensland.

Known for her personality.

Gained most of her fame from the Australian music quiz show ‘Spicks and Specks’.

Went to the Queensland Conservatory.

Started off with jazz, then moved to indie.

Plays piano and sings.

Award winning artist in Australia.

Starting to tour around the world.

Hill top Hoods

Formed in 1987.

Members are Suffa, MC pressure and Dj Debris.

Released 6 albums.

ARIA award winning hip hop group.

Well known in Europe.

Distinctive Accent and use of Aussie’s slang.

Talk about issues happening in Australia.

Known for the big energetic show that use live band, dancers and string section.

Directions In Groove (D.I.G)

Formed in the 70’s

One of Australia’s most loved acid jazz/ groove/ funk group.

Released 5 albums, and 6 E.P’s.

Members include Scott Saunders, Rick Robertson, Tim Rollinson, Alex Heweston and Terepai Richmond.

Have toured with the likes of Herbie Hancock and Bootsy Collins.

Band is made up of Australia best and most versatile musicians.

Won some of Australia’s most prestigious music awards.

James Muller

Born in 1974 in Adelaide.

Started playing rock, and the switched to jazz at 16.

Played with many international jazz giants.

Released 4 albums.

Won the ARIA for best Jazz album for is album ‘All out’.

Has a distinctive modern style.

Is one of Australia’s most recognized jazz musicians.
