Australia’s largest gathering of startups, innovators and entrepreneurs
ECOSYSTEM PARTNERS
What is Spark Festival?Spark Festival is Australia’s largest gathering of startups, innovators and entrepreneurs. Over two weeks, the ecosystem opens its doors to host events and activities that celebrate and showcase success, build connections, share knowledge, educate and inspire.
Covering any sector where innovation and entrepreneurship is happening, Spark welcomes attendees at every stage of their startup journey, from idea to exit and everything in between.
Spark Festival is organised by Spark Festival Ltd, a not for profit whose mission is to foster the growth of vibrant startup communities across all of NSW and provide opportunities for individuals of diverse background, age and gender to enter, pursue and succeed in a career of entrepreneurship.
Where does it happen?Everywhere! Spark is an umbrella festival, so it happens at venues and locations right across the ecosystem. In previous years many events have happened in and around the Sydney CBD, but in 2018 we are particularly interested in building a program that includes events across all of Sydney and locations throughout New South Wales.
When does it happen? Spark Festival 2018 will run from Friday October 19 to Friday November 2.

There is a call for submissions process for Spark Festival events: please submit via sparkfestival.co/spark-2018
We include all kinds of events on the program: panels and presentations, pitch nights, workshops, launches, showcases, networking events, hackathons and create-a-thons, events for children and families, even major conferences. If you’ve got an idea, run it by us!
Spark Festival is a not for profit looking to support and strengthen a community of innovators and entrepreneurs across NSW, and help to promote the people and organisations doing enterprising work so they get the recognition and boost they deserve.

Sponsorship packages and opportunities to support the festival are available for many different budgets.
Host or support an event in your area
Spark Festival is a massive collaborative project: so there are lots of other ways to become an Ecosystem Partner. We love nothing more than bringing people together around the common cause of creating something that will put their corner of the ecosystem on the map. If you’ve got a venue, some money or any other resource you think could be useful, we’ll see what we can do to join the dots!
Contact Spark Festival Program Director Maxine Sherrin ([email protected]) for details on any of the above.
Why should I get involved?Growth• Grow your community by attracting a new audience to your event who might not
otherwise know about your organisation and workAwareness• Put your corner of the ecosystem on the map and show the world what you’ve
been achievingConnection• Connect in with all the other people and organisations who are committed to
growing a vibrant environment for startups and entrepreneurship in NSW#giveback• At Spark Festival we are often inspired by the words of Brad Feld, one of
the absolute legends behind the incredible startup community that exists in Boulder, Colorado:“Building a startup community is not a zero-sum game in which there are winners and losers: if everyone engages they, and the entire community can all be winners.”
