11. SHENKO MAGIC - Two wins from eighteen starts in a rather light career. Has plenty of talent however. Can go well fresh and very consistent overall. Well handicapped

12. ENIOCANTO - A four time winner from two dozen starts. Last of those was a year ago in a claimer at Compiegne. Looks really out of form at this moment in time

13. MANOUKA - A triple winner from twenty two outings of which the last one came at Compiegne in April. Has not set the world on fire since then and has work to do

14. CALAYAN - Lightly raced. Made debut in 2015. One win from two starts in 2016. Off for twenty one months before three very good efforts. Won at Clairefontaine latest

15. CANDOS - Just one victory from twenty six. That came here in June on penultimate start. Well beaten thirteenth at Clairefontaine on follow up bid. More to do

16. ECLAIR DU MAFFRAY - This five year old is in terrific form having won his last two at Auteuil and Clairefontaine-Deauville and must have a fair shout at decent odds now

Summary

Nothing like a big Quinte handicap to kick start the Auteuil season. (6) DEPORTETOI is an interesting contender. He has only raced fives times in his career due to one thing or another but is very talented. He seems to have his troubles behind him now and is so unexposed that he has to be given the vote. 5. AUTOCRAT - Formerly pretty decent on the flat. Better effort when sixth in a class two at ParisLongchamp when last seen in April

6. EL FUEGO DI MARIA - Eighth on debut back in November of 2017 at Lyon Parilly and has been marked absent since then

7. EXQUISE MAG - Won on debut back in 2017. Huge lay off until returning with a second at Saint Brieuc and then won at Corlay in July. Interesting

8. PATASCOY - Multiple Group and Listed placed colt. Runner up the Prix Du Jockey Club no less last year. Unplaced in last two Listed affairs. Fascinating contender

9. AIME DESJY - By No Risk At All out of a Kahyasi mare. Dam ran just once and her only foal to race has been successful seven times

10. ASHMOUN - All three outings came last season. Placed third in the middle of those. Absent for thirteen months since

11. FANTASSIN - Unplaced on both outings to date which were earlier this season. Looks very average on that evidence

12. FUEGO DE SOMOZA - Won on only start which came at Les Sables last month where the gelding absolutely bolted up. Shortlisted

13. FURIA FRANCESE - Just the one outing and finished fourth in that at Durtal in April. Should improve after that run under belt

14. PRIVATE GIRL - Did not make it home on debut fourteen months ago at Argentan and will have to do much better

Summary A most unusual event insofar as it is a Listed hurdle for horses that have never raced in that discipline, they can be a newcomer or raced only on the level. There is one fascinating contender. One would have to go a long way back in the record books to see a former French Derby second starting out over hurdles. That is the

case with (8) PATASCOY who was just touched off in the Prix Du Jockey Club last year. The entire is now under the care of Macaire. (12) FUEGO DE SOMOZA bolted up on debut and could be anything. (7) EXQUISE MAG and (3) CAFE ROYAL are also noted.

6. COMEKEN - Not a bad record with six wins from twenty starts including a claimer at Clairefontaine last month. Eighth in a Listed there last time

7. PRINCESSE METURIE - In good order in three of four runs this season with a win at Nantes and placed twice. Fell at La Roche Posay last time

8. KINGBOHEM - Has won three times in three dozen attempts. Last four runs are not enticing

Summary A claiming chase for five year old's and up and unlikely to set the pulse racing too much. However a few euros on (6) COMEKEN may yield a reward. The selection has been in fair form of late winning one of these events at Clairefontaine and was then eighth in a Listed back there since. That effort may be good enough to see off (1) CARMIN D'OUDAIRIES. (2) KATHOA and (5) VIF ARDENT have hopes also.

This is a big field handicap and is very open. (1) VIC ROYAL has a big chance despite his advancing years. He was last seen in action in a very valuable event at Clairefontaine-Deauville at the beginning of July and may just about come home in front of (10) CLASSIQUE who could come alive today. Summary A juvenile event for first timers over the big fences. There are some really interesting contenders and none more so than (1) MARCHAND DE VENISE who shaped very encouragingly on debut here behind a smart sort in March and while admittedly beaten fifteen lengths, there was plenty of promise for the future and it is noteworthy that connections have gone straight over fences. (3) SAIL AWAY and (2) KICK UP would look the more obvious candidates. (5) FASTORSLOW is also interesting.

Summary This conditions hurdle for four year old fillies look a perfect opportunity for (4) THRILLING to bag win number five of her career. She has placed at the very highest level and was third in a Grade Three here last time too. Her return to hurdles will be no problem. Summary This is a Listed hurdle for juvenile fillies. It is made more interesting by the fact that two nephews of the great Willie Mullins team up to launch an assault on the home contingent. They will be hoping that their impressive Killarney winner, (9) FUJIMOTO FLYER, will adjust to the new surroundings here and give an early season boost to the Irish juvenile form. (7) GARDAHIA made a big impression on debut at La Teste de Buch back in April and will be fancied by many.
