The Theory

• Overall, the Auteur Theory is the idea that the Director can be seen as the ‘author’ of a film if their input influences greatly on the way the story is told. For example, if ‘fundamental visual elements such as, camera placement, Blocking, lighting and scene length, rather than plotline convey the message of the film’
