If you don’t know thepart number by heart,select thecompetitor’s productthat you want to crossin the search engine.

You can save yourproject in an Excelfile (.XLS) to be ableto manage manyprojects at the sametime. The languagebetween import andexport has to be thesame.

1 Write the part numbers in thesecond field. You can copy themfrom an external file, but you haveto paste special… in text.

Write the competitor’s brandnames in the first field. Usethe drop-down list to havethe correct spelling.

If the brand name is notcorrectly written, a pop-up will appear.

1 The correction window appears with 3boxes to check.

1/ Correct the invalid part numbers inorange: it opens the search engine to helpyou to find the correct part number.

2/ Choose the good product betweenmultiple equivalences in blue: it opens thesearch engine to select one equivalence.

3/ Force the research of equivalences:For example, if you select “SNK SERIES”,the equivalences will be taken from SNKfirst, or from another range if there is noSNK equivalence.

When the Xref is done, atrack record appears withthe number of ABBequivalences found. Inthis example, 1 ref iswrong so the result is 3/4.

You can clean the resultsautomatically by clicking“YES” or clicking on the“Correct everything” button.

If you find the rightcompetitor’s product inthe search engineappearing, select“CORRECT” to put itdirectly in the worksheet,otherwise click “SKIP”.

2/ Choose the goodproduct between multipleequivalences in blue.

For each part number,you choose the one youwant by clicking on“CORRECT”. If you don’twant to do it one by one,you select “FORCE THERESEARCH”.

1 2 3Click on your Window“START” button, then “ALLPROGRAMS”, then“Connection Auto XrefTool”, and “Uninstall”

When the uninstall package islaunched, check the box“UNINSTALL”

Click on “NEXT” and“FINISH”. The uninstallationis done!
