Product developers have to make decisions regarding design optimization, cost sav-ings and risk minimization based on the labeling and track-ing of prohibited substances and the optimization of re-sources. To satisfy these requirements, recycling strategies and product documentation must be prepared and made available to customers and the relevant authorities.

Users can then calculate the environmental impact of a product and reduce or even eliminate any identified neg-ative effects during the planning phase. Tedious additional research is now a thing of the past thanks to the LCA Module. Based on ISO 14040 ff, it extracts information from databases and combines this with product model structures. The built-in wizard helps minimize input times, even for complex products. The product assessment lev-el can be set to the entire product, individual assemblies or components.
