Instructor-led learningYou will train with instructor Gayl Beals, who has more than 25 years experience in the industry. Beals holds an Ed.S. (education specialist) degree, is accredited by Snap-on Tools and holds MOPAR level one certification.

You will learn:• Auto braking systems.

• Auto suspension, steering and alignment.

• Automotive electricity.

• Computer operation.

• Heating and air conditioning, including recovery and recycling.

• Math and measuring.

• Shop tools and safety.

• Teamwork and communication skills.

In 2016, GRCC became the only location in Michigan to partner with Chrysler Fiat to provide MOPAR CAP Level One Certification – giving you an opportunity to acquire this valuable credential as well.

Automotive TechnicianStep into a career as an automotive service technician, oil technician or mechanic after you complete the Automotive Technician program. Become certified through the State of Michigan in brakes, suspension, heating/air conditioning and electrical systems.
