TRANSCRIPT
Over the autumn term class 3 have had regular FS sessions. During this period they
have had the opportunity to care for guinea pigs and explore a variety of natural and
manmade materials such as soil, sand water, wet and dry pasta clay/playdough, wood,
leaves flowers, wool and string etc.
Everyone had lots of fun
caring for our guinea pigs
Nugget and Chips.
Baily is feeding them with
fresh vegetables.
Which is the thinnest piece
of veg?
Now it’s time for a gentle
stroke. They felt soft and
warm and furry.
We all helped to make a warm bed of hay for Nugget and Chips.
Everyone enjoyed stroking Nugget and
Chips.
Oliver looked closely to see their eyes, nose, mouth, ears and
whiskers.

Oliver loves to stroke
the guinea pigs.
We all had fun using tools
Baily and Oliver are using a
hammer and nails.
Well done boys.
Leo loves to use the tap and pin
hammer set.
Baily is trying out the saw.
We all had a lovely time
outside collecting and
sorting leaves and
flowers.
Shakira enjoyed smelling the
flowers.
We have explored different materials and sorted them into
hard and soft, hot and cold etc.
Good work everyone.
Robyn enjoyed comparing hot and cold.
We all had fun exploring sand and water and wet and dry
pasta.

We all enjoyed getting creative, painting, weaving, collaging
and modelling playdough.

Leo made a lovey spiky hedgehog.
We made trees with leaves and trees with no leaves.We
decorated them by weaving wool and string around the
branches.
We used
secateurs
to cut twigs
to make
trees.
