Welcome to our Autumn season brochure - packed with our usual brilliant mix of music, theatre, film, comedy and family shows.

Autumn is teeming with music for all tastes – including a welcome return from Manchester favourites The Smiths Ltd and The Christians, as well as Karen Matheson, Graham Parker and Brinsley Schwarz. New faces joining us include Christina Bianco and quality tribute acts Roxy Magic and The Red Shoes (Kate Bush tribute) and we are delighted to add our usual mix of Irish and country music.

We present a season of classic drama in the theatre with The Tempest, Journey’s End and Frankenstein while Unfolding Theatre are Putting The Band Back Together – and you can get involved!

Acclaimed comedians Mark Thomas, Tiff Stevenson and Jo Caulfield will have you rolling in the aisles along with our popular Buzz Comedy nights welcoming emerging and established artists.

Following on from our celebrated animation exhibition last autumn, we are delighted to present Puppet Masters Return with Aardman Studios featuring puppets and work from the renowned animation studios.

For film we welcome back our series of Waterside Classics along with anniversary specials linked to the autumn season.

Finally we have a fabulous array of family theatre to choose from and are delighted to welcome back tutti frutti productions for our Christmas show Underneath a Magical Moon – a reimagining of Peter Pan by Wendy.

We look forward to welcoming you this autumn.

THE SMITHS LTDSaturday 3 September Doors 7.30pm | £10 Adv (Door price £12) A standing show

Being the only Smiths tribute band from and based in Manchester, The Smiths Ltd have an authenticity that’s hard to beat. In fact, the band uses the same guitars, bass, amps and drum kit that the Smiths used on their very last tour. It’s unlikely that the Smiths will ever play live again and certainly not with the passion and energy of that brief period between 1983 and 1987. The Smiths Ltd are the closest you’ll get to experiencing that live charge of Morrissey, Marr and Co live on stage.
