    Communication Manager Messaging network users. Email Client Access Standard internet messaging protocols (IMAP4 and

    SMTP) support the retrieval of messages using industry standard email clients, consolidated in an email inbox. Outcalling (Call Me) Users can administer the application to outcall to another

    phone to notify them of new messages, with time of day and priority parameters. Automated Attendants Sophisticated capabilities for customer call handling,

    Messaging application server redundancy

    N+1 server configuration for MAS redundancyModular Messaging offers redundancy of voice ports by an N+1 server configuration.

    N+1 server configuration is the implementation of more than the minimum number of MASs recommended to increase availability and reliability. An N+1 server configuration can be implemented only if certain established maximum limits are not exceeded:

    Message Storage Server redundancy

    If a message store becomes unavailable to MAS units, Modular Messaging is able to provide the following services:

    Emergency retrieval of new Call Answer messages from the Modular Messaging telephone user interface (TUI)

    The MSS provides backup capabilities that include backing up data to a DVD or remote storage on LAN.
