easier access to the valley?Two new programs aimed at making travel to the Vail Valley even easier are taking shape. First, The Federal Highway Administration delivered approval on a long-term improvement plan for the Interstate 70 mountain corridor that will include widening the highway in places and, eventually, a high-speed rail line connecting communities with the Front Range.

The other news is that the Eagle County Regional Airport is working to have direct international flights. This move may coincide with hosting the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2015.
